Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Buck-naked man on US Air flight forces detour

by: Pam Spaulding

Thu Jul 02, 2009 at 22:00:00 PM EDT

Gee, this event would have made my American Airlines dual flight cancellation drama the other week much more entertaining.
A passenger who stripped naked aboard a Los Angeles-bound US Airways jet, forcing its diversion to Albuquerque, will be arraigned Thursday and possibly be ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination, the FBI confirmed today.

Keith Anthony Wright, 50, a resident of New York, was being held in federal detention in New Mexico pending his appearance in court on charges of interference with a flight, said FBI spokesman Darrin Jones in Albuquerque.

"He removed his clothing during the flight and refused to put them back on," Jones said of the disruption aboard US Airways Flight 705 on Tuesday.

American Airlines sucks gargantuan donkey turds

by: Pam Spaulding

Mon Jun 15, 2009 at 19:35:00 PM EDT

7:35 PM: Excuse my French, but American Airlines/American Eagle is on my sh*t list right now, after a long day. While Kate and I were waiting at RDU's terminal gate for our flight I received a call on my cell phone to say our flight has been cancelled.

If that's not bad enough, the automated message said we were rebooked on a flight not for later tonight, but for 3:40 PM tomorrow. We had planned to spend time with family in Brooklyn during the day on Tuesday and now that's not going to happen. Damn, you AA.

And because we prepaid the hotel, we lose that $$$ for a night's stay as well.  And of course there's no guarantee that we'll show up tomorrow at RDU and THAT flight won't get canceled and never make it to NYC to receive the award.

How do airlines get away with this sh*t? Do they think their customers have money to piss away when they do this crap?

From AA's web site (your customer commitment service plan blows):

American Airlines and American Eagle are in business to provide safe, dependable and friendly air transportation to our customers, along with numerous related services. We are dedicated to making every flight you take with us something special. Your safety, comfort and convenience are our most important concerns.
Oh it's something special all right.

Philly Airport and US Airways: sucktastic baggage handling jinx

by: Pam Spaulding

Sat Nov 29, 2008 at 17:33:25 PM EST

What did I say yesterday in the open thread?
I'm packing up for the flight home tomorrow (oy, please let the Philly airport not be a hellhole).
Well...they lost my bag AGAIN. Kate's arrived safely. Go figure.

Four people on my flight lost their baggage, with it either coming on an earlier flight, or not arriving at all. In fact, the USAir baggage person who took my claim said she had several today, all but one on the RDU-PHL routes. There's really no excuse for this kind of sh*tty customer service, and the PHL reputation is bad.

More below the fold, including a travel Q of the day.

How about giving this woman some Beano?

by: Pam Spaulding

Wed Dec 06, 2006 at 06:02:39 AM EST

Flatulence, not turbulence, forces plane to land.

You just can't make this up.

Flatulence brought 99 passengers on an American Airlines flight to an unscheduled visit to Nashville early Monday morning.

American Flight 1053, from Washington Reagan National Airport and bound for Dallas/Fort Worth, made an emergency landing here after passengers reported smelling struck matches, said Lynne Lowrance, a spokeswoman for the Nashville International Airport Authority.

...The FBI questioned a passenger who admitted she struck the matches in an attempt to conceal body odor, Lowrance said. The woman lives near Dallas and has a medical condition.

American has now banned her from flying with them.

Remember, people this feeble actually vote.

Bare naked travel

TSA has decided to unleash this invasive horror at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.

This is a new X-ray screening device designed to protect The Homeland, folks. Are you ready for this level of Big Brother public scrutiny?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Susan Hallowell, the director of the Transportation Security Administration's security laboratory, allows her body to be X-rayed by the 'backscatter' machine at the Transportation Security Administration in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Wednesday, June 25, 2003. Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix Arizona will test the new federal screening system that takes X-rays of passenger's bodies to detect concealed explosives and other weapons. The technology, called backscatter, has been around for several years but has not been widely used in the U.S. as an anti-terrorism tool because of privacy concerns. (AP Photo/Brian Branch-Price)
