Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

SC Gov. Sanford offers prayers to constituents he's screwing over by rejecting stimulus funds

by: Pam Spaulding

Tue Feb 24, 2009 at 20:00:00 PM EST

Do we need we any more evidence that the GOP doesn't give a damn about the economic suffering out there? No, but Mark Sanford, the homobigoted governor of South Carolina, flipped the "Christian" bird to a caller during C-SPAN's Washington Journal. After all, partisan politics is so much more important when you're positioning yourself for 2012, like his fellow governor Bobby "The Exorcist" Jindal.

CALLER: I hope you all are not playing politics with this. People in South Carolina are hurting. You know how unemployment rates are high right now and going up higher. We are running out of money in the unemployment bank - we need money for that, the people that need help. And I'm one of them, I can't get no help. [...]

SANFORD: Well I'd say hello to Charleston because its home and I'd say hello to this fellow this morning and say that my prayers are going to be with him and his family because it sounds like he is in an awfully tough spot.

Un-f*cking-believable. Hat tip to Ben Armbruster at Think Progress, who added:
Sanford offered no other alternative solution for his constituent and instead argued that the state could not accept money to extend unemployment benefits because "increasing the tax on unemployment insurance" would negatively "impact the caller's family" (although he didn't say how).

Ah. A "Jeebus help you because I sure as hell won't!" moment.

I feel the "Christian" love.

i will bet my life savings
that by tomorrow morning , the governor will have forgotten about this caller and he will NOT be in his prayers.

i find it strange that some right wing politicians always seem to offer "their prayers" to those who fall on hard. is it really sincere or is is a statement they say to avoid discussing the subject?

You don't think he'd REALLY pray ...
... for this "fella", do you?
"I'll keep you in my prayers" -- translate to -- "Stop bothering me with this poor people crap and leave me the hell alone!"

And btw, did anyone else's eyeballs suddenly start to bleed while watching Jindal's creepy-a$$ speech?

This is my prayer
I hope that the people rise up against this man and kick his butt out of office.  The sooner this happens the better off they will be. What a piece of work he really is!

I sincerely believe that the GOP's Just Say No stance is a form of Civil War against the rest of the population. Every state in the union has people who are in need of some form of help. To reject it may seemingly advance the political cause of the Grand Oppressive Party, but in reality the people who are paying his frickin' salary are the ones who are hurting.

Mine too ...
And for the life of me, I can't understand their end game.  Are they positioning themselves for economy to further tank so they can say, "See! I told you so."?

And more nefarious, are they actively working toward that end? Because other than that, all these NO NO NO republicans with their fingers in their ears to reason will soon need those unemployment benefits they so gleefully deny starving Americans.

Sanford is an A**
The main reason why the schools in SC are going broke is because Sanford and his rich friends in the General Assembly were tired of paying property taxes on their million dollar beach front homes.  So they shifted the cost to the poor by Act 388 which substituted sales tax for property tax to pay for education.  His term ends next year, but there is a good chance that the next Gov. will be just as bad or worse.  And this jerk is considered a "rising star" in the morally bankrupt GOP!   GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Every Time
I see Sanford's face (or Lindsey Graham's either) in the news media I cringe. It's SC politicians like those two that make me ashamed to say that I was born and raised in SC. I love my home state and there are some really good people there, but SC state politics has truly been taken over by the ultra conservative, far right, radical fringe element of the GOP, and I don't see that changing any time soon. (Sigh!)
