The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Cindy McCain on Palin: she's qualified because 'Alaska is close to Russia'

by: Pam Spaulding

Sun Aug 31, 2008 at 21:41:00 PM EDT

It's time for the GOP to fold its tent and go home. Some free advice: do not send Cindy McCain out on the Sunday talk shows to defend Sarah Palin (via Sully):

All the Obama campaign needs to do is air this one over and over. How far has the self-proclaimed party of national security fallen when this kind of messaging is deemed acceptable.

(Hat tip, Peteypornpig from the comments)

The pain of Cindy McCain...
I had to watch that twice to get the quote.  I feel icky.

First, the notion that because Alaska is close to Russia (where, Siberia?), and therefore Palin has some sort of national security knowledge, much less experience, is so utterly ludicrous that George Snuffleupagus should have burst out laughing.

Second, she talks about Palin having a "great mind" and "very serious direction in where she goes."  It says it all about Republicans that "seriousness" and a "great mind" is equated with someone who advocates creationism, and doesn't believe in global warming.

She's qualified
because, such as, US Americans and such, such as, being close to Russia and Oh My God, like totally.

WOW!  Bubble Headed Trophy Wife.

Besser ein ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne ende

Trophies
McBush must have a thing for trophies.  He's got a bubble-headed trophy wife and a Barbie doll trophy running mate.

[ Parent ]
Trophies
I think Cindy is more of an atrophy wife ...

[ Parent ]
Which could be the reason
McCain decided to bring in Barbie Doll.

[ Parent ]
oh, but CIndy gives us so much info about how truly qualified Pailn is
STEPHANOPOULOS: You know what Democrats are saying. It's a desperate choice. She's just not ready to serve as commander-in-chief.

C. MCCAIN: No, no, no. I completely disagree, and I know my husband does, too. She is heavily experienced in what she has done.

Of course we all know that Palin is also exceptionally inexperienced in what she hasn't done.

Oh for Christ's sake!!!
Close to Russia? So she has national security experience?

My cat sat next to the toilet today. I guess she is now a plumber! Thanks Cindy, you have done more for Obama's campaign than any human being could. Mother Theresa and I thank you!

Republican "logic"
I'm closer to Mexico than she is to Russia and I still can't can't speak a word of Spanish.  LOL

My cats sat on the window sill looking out side,
Actually they do this daily.  Now they have become meteorologists.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

Our cat horked up a hair ball today.
On our comforter. I guess that makes him a gastroenterologist? Or would that be a seamstress?

[ Parent ]
and the hairball looked a lot like Cindy
she is looking like they dragged her behind the straight talk express, in just a couple months she's about 20 lbs. thinner

Illinois is kind of near Canada
So Obama must also have foreign policy experience too.
It sounds like Cindy is a Steve Douchey (I don't know how to spell it so I'm going with that tonight) fan, doesn't it?

But Johnny, why can't I go on tv?
CINDY: Obama let's Michelle do it...

(bats eyes, flicks hair. John clears throat and twitches in excitement)

JOHNNY: I can't deprive the country of your obvious brains and beauty...

CINDY: Oh, Johnny...

He is sure fast with the decisions, isn't he?

...Ready to Go!!

continued....
Cindy: Since most of the big speakers aren't going to be there on Monday, Can I be the first to speak?

Johnny:  No, there isn't going to be anyone speaking, we all are going to wait and see what Gustav is going to do.

Cindy:  Ohh how I hate those damn russians, I am so glad Gov. Palin knows how to deal with them.

If I make sense? it was quite by accident.

The country is doomed

This is GREAT news from Dumb-ASS Kristol
"Anyway, panel time, from the usual panel. They get into the Palin pick. Hume says that the pick is both wise and risky. Wise because Palin's biggest contribution is her appeal to the religious right. Risky because "she could flame out in a heartbeat." Liasson says that McCain understood the "position he was in," and that it was a smart pick. Kristol says McCain has "gone all in on Sarah Palin." It can't be understated: McCain's choice CLEARLY indicates that all the talk you've heard about the polls tightening are hoo-hah. You don't throw a hail mary early in a close game."

"race, taste. and History finally overcome....and you ain't there"

It could work
If you say Alaska is right next door to Russia enough times you can easily get 50% of America to believe it.

well...
Alaska does come quite close to Russia.

Just not the heavily-inhabited parts of either.

[ Parent ]
Seems appropriate
From kipesquire.net (follow background research from there)...

First, some background:

*Alaska has been the top recipient of federal taxpayer dollars per capita every year since 1999, and one of the three most lopsided states in terms of "receipts versus taxes" every year since 2003. For example, for every $1.00 Alaskans sent to the IRS in 2005, Alaska received $1.89 in federal expenditures. These federal subsidies from lower-48 taxpayers have helped Alaska maintain the lowest tax burden in the nation every year since 1999 and the first or second lowest every year since 1981.

*Besides its nearly 2:1 federal tax subsidy, the Alaska government is primarily funded by taxes on oil and natural gas production (i.e., through higher gasoline and other energy prices paid by the rest of the country).

*As a result, Alaska is the only the state in the Union to have neither a state income tax nor a state sales tax. Indeed, Juneau gets so much money from so many sources that it pays residents an annual subsidy out of the state coffers - currently about $1,600 per person.

*Only 25 of Alaska's 161 municipalities levied a property tax as of 2004.

Alaska had 626,932 residents as of the 2000 Census; Obama's state senate district had 653,647. Alaska has no declining industry, no blighted inner cities (or the racial tensions that often accompany them), no aging infrastructure. No baby boomer entitlement crisis, no illegal immigrant crisis, no subprime mortgage crisis. And, contrary to the delusions of some, neither Alaska nor its governor are fending off Vladimir Putin at the Bering Straits or negotiating treaties with Ottawa. What exactly would you expect a governor of Alaska to do all day besides hunt, fish and flip-flop on the Bridge to Nowhere?

The only thing that occasionally makes Alaska difficult to govern is - Alaska Republicans. Go figure.

Palin's apologists have a simple choice: either concede that experience isn't particularly important, or continue to be rightfully mocked for the utterly asinine suggestion that serving four years as (part-time) mayor of Wasilla (population 5,470) and 20 months as governor of a nearly worry-free state that a college senior with a 3.3 GPA and a fully charged Roomba could keep neat and tidy, somehow compares to seven years in the Illinois State Senate and 32 months as a United States senator.

So much for experience in balancing a budget (they get all the money the need from us "other" taxpayers), international experience, and experience in..well anything else.

Hey, she's close to Russia.
Wait until Gramps gives his last fart in a year or so and she ends up eyeball to eyeball with Putin and the boys when they are pissed off. YUK YUK!

Christ on crutches, they'd be better of with Condi.

PUTIN scares me.

Even just in photos! Talk about eyes of steel! and Imagine what his heart is like!I would feel much much better with Condi.

right on Pam
between McCain and Palin, the Republican ticket is such a joke, who could even bring themselves to admit that they're voting for these two?

What qualifies a beer heiress...
...to bless someone else's foreign policy credentials in the first place?

Poor Michelle O.--as highly educated and politically conscious as she is--has to grovel before the public as a "traditional" feminine archetype, while the rodeo queen, cheerleader, and Percocet addict breezes onto the Sunday talk shows to hold forth on other people's qualifications for high office.

"Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain" -- Iowa state motto

[ Parent ]
Yep, that's the the American public for ya
It's a double standard.  If you are a simpleton heiress you are rewarded for your stupidity, but if you are a hardworking, highly educated individual you get shunned as an elist.

[ Parent ]
now now
you only get shunned as an elitist if you're a democrat

[ Parent ]
Po-ta-toes, po-tah-toes
They say elitist, we say smart and having class.
I haven't heard a lot of the "elitist" thing lately.  Did that actually fold under ridicule and people realizing that they needed doctors who know something about medicine and pilots who know how to fly planes?

My America includes LGBT families.

[ Parent ]
MSNBC Said this
On Friday afternoon.  I heard a commentator snarkily say that "her foreign policy might be relevant because she's close to Russia"

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." -- Thomas Jefferson

they were making fun of Fox
MSNBC folks jumped on the FOX commentator's very serious assertion that she has a keen understanding of foreign affairs (and the current Russian situation) due to Alaska being near Russia.

Ummm, I've been to Russia and Poland and countries in western Europe and Canada.  I guess I'm ready for my close-up.

[ Parent ]
Anchorage to Moscow
The difference is about 500 miles shorter to Moscow from Anchorage then Washington,DC...  So, this makes her an expert of Russia?  Someone get her off the stage............GONG !!!!

4300 miles
In case anyone needs to know how far Sarah Palin's desk is from Putin's in actual miles...

2 problems with this
1) The Logan Act prevents state governors from negotiating with foreign powers.

2) Palin didn't even carry a passport until 2 year ago.

"Many people say I embarrass them with my humility" - Abp Peter Akinola

My mistake
She didn't apply for a passport until 2007.

Still, I think people are stupid/naive/apathetic enough to let the Republicans take this election.

The neoconservatives are head-over-heels in love with this barbie doll. The msm is talking about how they are "electrified." Someone needs to find something on this woman that the media will run with soon.

Cindy stumbles
Let's put aside the whole "close to Russia" statement for a second and listen to how Barbie - uh Cindy, yes, that's it, Cindy - stumbles at first when she tries to find something positive to say about Palin's foreign policy experience.

Travesty and Treason
While Senator McCain tries to keep us focused on our southern border, wasting resources and a fence upon a non-existent threat, he and his party (deliberately?) ignored the threat from the north.

With our troops dispersed overseas, our greatest security risk is from the RCMP, which could easily take the northern Blue States with a few dog sleds. We know that Massachusetts will likely greet the invaders with flowers.

Meanwhile, McCain chooses a VP who thinks that less than 3000 soldiers is sufficient to defend us against the legendary Russian steamroller. Is it stupidity, or is it treason? With the deployment of this miniscule force overseas, one has to wonder.  Are we willing to vote for a team than includes a governor whose actions will lead Alaska to share the fate of Georgia? Do we want to see the Russian Flag on the top of Mt McKinley in a parody of the heroic image of Iwo Jima?

Patiotic Americans, stand fast. Do we want the governor who is so reckless as to leave her state essentially undefended against the same troops that smashed Georgia in hours making command decisions in the event of Senator McCain's illness or worse?  Do we want a President so aged as to imagine that he is still fighting the Mexican War ignoring the threat from those Socialists north of our border aided and abetted by the Governor who has left Alaska undefended against the Siberian hordes?

NO!

We must vote Obama/Biden, before the dogsleds loaded with redcoated Canadians are in our driveways.

Creditials
I was really put off by the rumors that Sarah's recent child was really that of her daughter... but now that the 17 year old is actually pregnant (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/bristol_palin_is_pregnant.html), you can see where these rumors come from.  I don't care if her daughter is pregnant, but I do care that McCain apparently did not work very hard at vetting.  This is how "Heck of a job Brownie" happened.

McCain says he knew
"Senator McCain knew this and felt in no way did it disqualify her from being vice president," said the aide. "Families have difficulties sometimes, and lucky for her she has a supportive family."  CNN

This is just a really bad stunt to give them live props for their anti-choice crusade.  I feel bad for Bristol Palin, her family obviously puts politics before her well being

[ Parent ]
The sad part
I've heard it reported that Cindy McCain has little to no short term memory after suffering a stroke several years ago. I would have thought with the GOP's emphasis on message control, that they would have kept her away from the press like they did with Laura Bush.

By the way
I abhor Governor Palin's allusions to the feminism of Senator Hillary Clinton.

"Governor, I know Senator Clinton
I've dined with Senator Clinton
 I've worked with Senator Clinton.
Governor, You are NO Hillary Clinton!"
