Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Washington Election Day To-Do List: Vote, Bug others to vote, then Party!

by: Lurleen

Tue Nov 03, 2009 at 10:32:53 AM EST

Today is the day! Here's some great advice from campaign buddy Josh:
Please make sure to mail in that ballot ASAP if you haven't yet and keep on your friends & family all through today to vote. Call them, text them, email them, FB them, show up at their house, bang on their windows. Its too critical to sit this one out! Let's make sure we can call this an Approve 71 VICTORY PARTY!!!
Yes, party! Join us Election Night at a party in your area.  Here's the list.  The Seattle party will be broadcast live starting at 8:00 PM.  Video feed is below the fold, or you can watch here.

You can follow @ApproveRef71 on Twitter throughout the day today and on Facebook.

Results of King Co. mail ballots counted on election day will be posted at 8:15 pm over here.  Statewide results will be posted here starting at 8 pm. (thx Tech Bear!)

Track statewide results online
http://vote.wa.gov/Elections/WEI/?ElectionID=32

Results will start to be posted at 8pm PST, when the "polls close." (Never mind that the state has eliminated polls.)

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même merde.

thanks!
I updated the links above.  There are still some polls in Pierce Co. and also voting stations for people with disabilities.  But yeah, essentially it's a ballot drop deadline rather than a literal "polls closed" time.

Just getting settled into my room at Holiday Inn; saw Jesse C speaking w/press (WMTW) in the lobby, so knew I was at the right place! ;)

"It goes on one at a time, it starts when you care to act, it starts when you do it again after they said no, it starts when you say We and know who you mean, and each day you mean one more."

Lurleen the polls seem to be at your back
59% APPROVE, your extraordinary work is paying off, I couldn't be happier.

Ah here is my opening... To all Disaffected Roman Catholics...
from a friend.
Listen closely. This is important. You are living in Maine, or Washington or CA or Anywhere USA. You were raised Roman Catholic and were baptised and probably confirmed in that faith system. You are now an atheist and hold absolute hatred for that Church. Do I have your attention? Do I really have your attention? Do you really want to make a statement that will mean something?

OK. ! The first thing that you must understand that UNLESS YOU RENOUNCE YOUR CATHOLICISM, AND EXCOMMUNICATE YOURSELF (IN LATIN, EXCOMMUNICATIO PRO SE), YOU ARE STILL CONSIDERED A ROMAN CATHOLIC, A MEMBER OF THE POPE'S JURISDICTION, A MEMBER OF THE BISHOP'S DIOCESE, AND A MEMBER OF YOUR PARISH.

I can hear you NOW!!! Expletive, Expletive, Expletive......I do not give a ......expletive......what the Catholic Church does with my membership. I haven't darkened their door in decades....I hate the religion. I am an atheist.. I hate all magic shows......those goddammned paedophiles......etc....

Again, flood the diocesan phone banks, call your parish church.......EXCOMMUNICATE YOURSELF....TELL THEM TO TAKE YOUR NAME OFF THEIR GODDAMNED COMMUNICANT ROLES. Imagine the stunned monsignori at the Diocesan offices, or Father at the local parish. Send the Pope an excommunication letter at the Vatican City website, but TELL THE MAINE CATHOLIC HOMOPHOBIC LEADERS THAT THE LAST STRAW HAS BEEN DRAWN....AND YOU ARE EXCOMMUNICATING YOURSELF.

THE CATHOLIC CLOSET MUST BE CLOSED. If you have never officially left the Catholic Church, you are still considered and counted as one of their sheeple. STOP THE PAIN, STOP THE LIES, STOP THE HYPOCRISY SO THAT ...............THEY...................KNOW IT.

Now this is a good idea. Personally I will do this soon, but right now my MIL is 90, my FIL was Deacon of the Church I was married in...and MIL is supportive fully of my SIL and her female partner. So will be waiting a while to do.
For now I will wear Rainbow/Equality attire and leave a note to same in collection plate of any Catholic function I am forced to attend.

It's the Hammer of JUSTICE,
It's the Bell of FREEDOM,
It's the Song about LOVE between,
my Brothers and my Sisters
...All over this Land.

Confirm your ballot has been received
If you live in King County, you can verify if Records and Elections has received your ballot here:  https://info.kingcounty.gov/el...

On a side note, I'm really proud of our local government that they've developed tools like this to support good citizenship.

I live in Oklahoma
but I "bugged" my nice gentleman friend in Washington state to be sure and drop off his ballot in the mail today.

If you would indulge me. My IM with him last night.

Me: Hey are you voting tomorrow?

Friend: No
Friend: voting for?

Me:There are some referendums up for vote

Him: (Scratches chin emoticon)

Me: Referendum 71

Him: I don't know what that one is.

Me: It's to keep the domestic partnership law on the books

Him: Oh ok, I seen that one on the TV

Me: It's a good law to keep.

Him:  Ok
Him: (scratches chin emoticon)

Me: http://approvereferendum71.org/
Me: It's not just about lesbian and gay relationships. There are lots of straight couples with domestic partnerships.

Him: I think everyone should have equal rights

Me: (hug emoticon)

Him: don't you think?

Me: Yes
Me: Do you have the ballot?

Him: Not on hand.

Me: Yeah. Equal repersontation.

He: Representation

Me: I can't spell sometimes
Me: lol

Him: (silly emoticon)

Me: If you can get it in the mail tomorrow (Tuesday) that would be cool.

Him: Sure
Him: (hug emoticon)

Me: Thanks sweetie

Him: (angel emoticon)

Me: (hug emoticon)

Him: (big grin emoticon)

Me: (angel emoticon)

Seattle should be NUTS tonight
When MN hosted all the Men's choruses for the first GALA event, Seattle's chorus I think was larger than San Francisco's. Either you have a MASSIVE LGBT community, or all of them sing really really well.

What have you done today, to make ya feel PROUD?

wasn't all Men's choruses, there was mixed and women's choruses too

I'm sure there's a
Singin' in the Rain joke in there somewhere... :)  Although, today is a gorgeous fall day with blue skies and blazing leaves.  A perfect day to post a ballot, I'd say.

a nice day for HATE to lose
speaking of nice days, I need to go wash more of the siding on the house(I started yesterday got about 20 feet wide done), beside I'm nervous waiting for results, so I might as well do something useful.

Talked to a friend of mine last night
Haven't seen her awhile but it seems her school work is in a lapse so she's actually on Skype for the first time in months.

Me: Man, election day is tomorrow.
Her: Yeah, my ballot's somewhere in the mail pile.
Me: Err, I need you to vote. Really badly.
Her: Why?
Me: Remember R-71?
Her: ...OH! CRAP! When is the deadline?
Me: Tomorrow, sometime around 8PM. You need to vote. _I_ need you to vote.
Her: Damnit, I've ignored by ballot the past three years because there wasn't really anything important on there. Gotta find it! Thanks for reminding me!

"Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion, you must set yourself on fire!"

woo hoo!
great work!  make sure she knows the 8 pm deadline is for drop boxes, not mail boxes!  if she wants to mail it, she needs to be sure it'll get postmarked today, not just dropped in a mailbox.
