Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Jill Wants To Marry Diane

by: Louise

Sat Oct 31, 2009 at 15:30:00 PM EDT

Just got the following email and video from my very good friends at Maine Civil Liberties Union:

Because Freedom Can't Protect Itself.

Marriage Equality is about equal protection under the law, but it's also about love.

Click on the image below to watch a video about Jill, who wants to marry Diane. Or you can watch the video by clicking here.

Vote No On 1 on Tuesday.

Thanks for all that you do,
Alysia, Brianna, Claire, Edward, Katy, Shenna, Zach

Meet OUR friend and fellow Mainer Jill Barkley- she wants to marry Diane Hitchcock.

So right now, she needs to ask Maine's permission to marry Diane...

YOU can help Jill.

Take this VIRAL- Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Here's a TinyURL:  http://tinyurl.com/yckogvs

Now.

Go! :)

This is familiar
I believe I remember a broadcast commercial for the anti-Prop 8 folks who did the same thing.

Listen to "TransTalk" every Monday from 4-5pm ET on http://www.falconradio.org beginning January 11th!

Yes, but with one key difference...
The CA ad had a straight male character asking for a woman's hand in marriage.

This ad gets it right.

I'm taking that as a positive sign that Maine will get it right too.

The spot was trying to send the message was that how would straights like it if they were forced to ask everyone for the right to marry like gays and lesbians were forced to do through the measure.

I know... but as someone whose spouse often listens w/ only 1/2 an ear..
A lot of people NOT up on the issue wouldn't get it.

I know because I run a lot of things on the net by him, and he doesn't always get it. Doubly so if its on TV and he's not really focused.

And the CA No-Prop8 campaign was criticized for not showing GLBT people in a lot of their ads. I find this ad a lot more effective.

Haven't I seen something like this before?
Oh yeah... This is very reminiscent of a marriage equality ad that run an Ireland that I frankly find more effective than Jill wants to marry Diane. But everything helps to get the word out. Just wish it was more effective. See original ad below...

Louise...
Hi Louise,

I just wanted to let you know that I just got home from church, First United Church of Tampa (UCC), where twenty of my fellow congregants signed up to make GOTV calls for No on 1.  That's pretty amazing since my church is 90% straight and we only had about 70 people in church today.  Many of the people signing up were couples that are going to make calls together so the number is actually more than 20.  My church ROCKS!  We're doing everything we can do here in Tampa to support justice, fairness and civil equality in Maine.

I thought this news might give you a little lift of spirit for the home stretch.  I hope that your spirits will be soaring Tuesday evening.

Thanks for all that you are doing.  You've been a true warrior for justice.

Much love and many blessing to you and all of the volunteers who have worked so hard in Maine (and Washington).

Zeke

Love this!
And thanks for writing to me via email as well, Zeke...

Please give my absolute best to everyone as well as grateful thanks to them as well. And know that when we up here can, we will return the favor- for your state and all others.

We Mainers may be weird- but we're honest- and we stand by our friends.

THANK YOU.
