Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

Transitory Psychosis: The debate that Yes on 1 doesn't want you to see!

by: Chino Blanco

Sat Oct 31, 2009 at 13:55:24 PM EDT

( - promoted by Louise)

Nore from Louise: This loon is a "professor"? Of WHAT? Drunkology? Bigotry 101?

Frary: ... now I'm not getting into sex questions... sensational stuff there I do sex in a dreadful morass of confusion you all know perfectly well when you heard somebody say I just got f*cked in one meaning it means I just got f*cked in another meaning

(he does says "fuck" from what I'm lipreading, suddenly the moderator wakes up )

moderator: JOHN! Can you watch your language a little bit here ?

Frary:  Do I have to?

moderator: yes

Frary: excuse me then spare your pretty blushes but it's a fact you all know this to be true
face it sex is a realm of family love procreation
venereal diseases adultery manipulation mendacity the whole morass so I'd rather not get into that subject whatsoever

If you're in the mood to spare 45 minutes to follow a recent debate about marriage equality, here you go.

Somehow, the director of the MCLU got paired with an eccentric curmudgeon in a debate about Question One.  If you've not got the time to watch the entire sequence, I'd suggest clips #3 and #7.  This John Frary character is a hoot.  Did the Yes on 1 campaign approve John's participation in this debate?  And is the Yes on 1 campaign now willing to concede the wisdom of conducting pre-debate field sobriety tests?

Warning: Things get really weird after the second clip.  Rough transcript of the third and seventh clips below.

Intro (nothing to see here - feel free to skip): Shenna's opening remarks:

Chino Blanco :: Transitory Psychosis: The debate that Yes on 1 doesn't want you to see!
Welcome to Professor Frary's world: Shenna takes John's bluster in stride:

Paul Mills does his darndest to keep John on topic: Shenna talks theological underpinnings of equality:

No whimpering for John, he goes out with a bang:

John Frary's closing argument:

Further discussion is not necessary.  Events resolve the issue one way or the other.

Oh my.

Rough transcript courtesy of AmericanRiverCanyon:

clip video #3 (oh mercy.)

(Prof. John Frary, old guy in Lagado or Laredo Univ shirt and sports jacket) For the Yes on the People's Veto
partial transcript few words are _

Frary:
first of all I apologize for holding you up i wasn't watching the clock first of all i'm not here to do any religious sermons to tell the truth there are certain items in the 10 commandments which cause me a certain amount of embarrassments  still it should be mentioned my own background i was... baptised in _ (?mumble) church and served in sunday school a short time and when the old boy refused to let me pull the bell pull i became discontented with organized religion... remained unchurched until 2004 when I joined with the traditional anglican communion which broke with the regular Episcopal Church on the question of ordination of an openly homosexual bishop... now my brother the anglican priest who has separated himself from the Episcopal Church USA he suggested to me one time that hatred of homosexuals is a worse sin than the homosexual act and in fact the scripture makes no reference to condemning homosexuals as such
it condemns homosexual acts just as it condemns a whole series of heterosexual acts  makes sense to me
and I tried this out on Bishop Langberg and he said yes that makes sense to me  .... priests _ bishops just as are biologically hard wired to notice females members of the opposite sex but they are not expected to act on their heterosexual passions that's all I have to say on religious questions

now I'm not getting into sex questions... sensational stuff there I do sex in a dreadful morass of confusion you all know perfectly well when you heard somebody say I just got f*cked in one meaning it means I just got f*cked in another meaning

(he does says "fuck" from what I'm lipreading, suddenly the moderator wakes up )

moderator: JOHN! Can you watch your language a little bit here ?

Frary:  Do I have to?

moderator: yes

Frary: excuse me then spare your pretty blushes but it's a fact you all know this to be true
face it sex is a realm of family love procreation
venereal diseases adultery manipulation mendacity the whole morass so I'd rather not get into that subject whatsoever

what interests me here may seem a little arcane to you, but I've long been interested in intellectual history that's been neglected... isaac newton influence Voltaire...  how ideas get transmitted fr the original printer to the man in the street

those that fell asleep in 1920 a ya Rip Van Winkle nap woke up today and found the issue of the day "homosexual marriage" and I sat down and I traced intellectual origins of this sudden concern where would I find this (start )

i just recently read interview w/ gore vidal who just characterized homosexual marriage as a  crock of _ (?) I remember him from 1970 he was a best selling author lavender passions back then  he was consistent most homosexuals were against homosexual marriage because it was an effort to blend into their populations which they thought was an offense to their pride and their individual characteristics

(catch the moderator doing a face palm at this point to the right of the screen)

and the whole picture of oscar wilde settled in the suburbs and enjoying the rotary  would have been laughable to them somehow we've gotten to this

so where do we find a starting point some congregations have homosexual marriage but we look in vain ... can't find any... couldn't put a date on it

i know in the 1970 s they Am Psych Assoc declared it wasn't a clinical psychological disorder  before that all enlightened people thought it was a psychological disorder before that nobody knows how many gays went to get themselves treated (there was) class action against shrinks for treating those figures not know to us
at that point all enlightened people thought it was according to their judgement a lifestyle choice
before that it was a psychological disorder
later it became genetically determined some believe adamanently believe that that gene has been identified and located

i have no opinion on any of this stuff never concerned me much nor occupied my mind

the thing that is on my mind is the latest __ conformity to this latest fad  homosexual marriage
I'd like to see this explained I'd like to see the intellectual roots I'd like to see the development of this concept...

moderator: John! as usual you've been innovative, but time is 5 minutes, you may continue later, Shenna, you may ask him a question

Shenna: (woman in dark suit)
two of my dear family friends _ and _ were married, 48th anniversary in August, my question to you is how does this marriage affect you or anyone else ?

Frary ?  You mean me ? not in the slightest

Shenna:  so in follow up to my question, how does  marriage for gay and lesbian couples impact negatively the opponents of gay marriage?

Frary:  my understanding their concern is the making of the traditional family of course, heterosexual marriage is the center of that family they do not see this as a simple (single?) episode they see this as a process  the family downgraded  there are going to be dire consequences to society

In Great Britain marriage doesn't exist anymore for the working class except in the Hindu and Multi (Muslim?) populations  crime rates shot up in every category except homicide and it used to be English soccer crowds and fans admired for their have good manners now they are feared thruout Europe by their rivals
all this suggests a process of aggressive degeneration
they see this as one episode in a process.

video, part 7 Frary, for the Yes on the People's Veto side

part of transcript of old guy in Lagado or Laredo Univ Shirt and sports jacket (Prof John Frary)

Well being a cold and insensitive old bastard

I don't have any delicate sob stories to offer you ... this obsession with death and (he's muttering, cannot figure out what he's saying )

seemed kind of morbid to me

at this point, after uh 66 years of bad habits I'm looking at death or senility in 10 years, you're almost all young enough to see the outcome, ideas begin by being ignored, then various hostilities, then they begin being accepted without question this may be the course here  those concerned with the durability of family life

those concerned with the process of progressive degeneracy... well. they may be right, too you'll all have a good chance to see whether they're right or wrong as I've said before, further discussion may not be necessary events resolve the issue one way or another
_
moderator thank you very much patience on this subject

He's the reason I no longer get a drink in the afternoon...

Cuz there is always one of those sitting in the bar between noon and 4 just waiting to expound.

Sadly, he is the perfect representative of a large portion of the Yes voters.

Shenna has more patience than I - after the F*** comments I would have politely stood up and declared the event at an end.

Question:  What does an atheist do when they fall to the floor and start "speaking in tongues"?

Answer: Get a CAT scan.

Just found this guys web page - wow.
http://www.fraryforcongress.com/

He was one of those clown candidates that pop up periodically, like the guy who wore the Uncle Sam costume or the Cowboy in Times Sq. who plays guitar in his undies.

Here he is with his Congressional race campaign manager (really).

And guess how many Mainers voted for him?
107,736 people voted for this John Frary last year for Congress - 33.8% of those that cast ballots in Maine's 2nd District. (thanks, GW)

Chino, why hasn't anyone called these people out on
this notion that heterosexual marriage has always been and same-sex marriage is some new "fad" or "radical social movement".  It's just flat out false.

The truth is same-sex marriage or unions have existed throughout history in the form of informal, unsanctioned relationships to highly ritualized unions.  They existed in Greece, Rome, China, and certain times during european history.  These marriages continued until Christianity became the official regligion of the Roman empire at which time they were outlawed.  The Roman Empire was in to executing people and those who were in same-sex unions were ordered executed.  Religious fundamentalism, nice.

I think there's too much info in your explanation for the target audience
I'm pretty sure that nearly everyone who knows any of the history you've recited is already on the side of equality.

The folks who remain unaware of that history are probably not the right audience for pitching an argument couched in a critical view of Christianity's ascendance.

For a minute there...
I thought that I'd accidentally clicked on a production of Eugene O'Neill's, "The Iceman Cometh"!

Barfender, get me a martuni!
