hey, good for her!

what she's saying is that she wants her health insurance company to have control over her body, and for it make decisions about her health based upon whether or not it will affect their profit margin.  and considering that she can afford the best her taxpayer-funded money can buy, she's got nothing to worry about!  

in fact, the only thing she has to worry about is that her ignorant base might get wise to the fact that she's in league with big business and not concerned about their actual well-being, which is why she will continue to propagate these lies to keep them afraid and ignorant, and to keep her own status intact.  what a brilliant scheme this woman is running!  how can i get on board?

Haven't you been listening

to the Libertarian wing of the GOP?  Having services provided by the (electable and replaceable) government is tyranny.  Having vital services denied by an unaccountable corporation is liberty. (Unless you team up with other people to negotiate better terms -- then it's socialism, which is also tyranny.  Collective action is only valid when it's aimed at making a profit and externalizing costs.)

speaking of services

here's another point: considering that the government pays her health insurance premiums, then is it really such a stretch to say that the government is already "in control" of her body?  she should break free from the shackles of government tyranny and insist on paying her own premiums for independent insurers from here out.  she wouldn't want to be a raging hypocrite, now would she?  my guess is that 20 minutes away from the government teat will have her mewling for socialism.

First thoughts...

If you don't want the government to have control over your body, what about letting private corporations have control over your body? You give them control every time you pay for your health insurance, and every time you need healthcare. Your health insurer has the final say on whether or not you get treatment, irrespective of whether or not that treatment is critical - something that doesn't happen in countries where the government pays for healthcare. Given the appalling frequency at which life-saving treatment is denied in the US, it seems to me that the giving the government control over your body makes vastly more good sense - it's eminently more trustworthy than a corporation!

She is such a fucking funny.  Now she is appropriating pro-choice language for her right wing anti health care reform agenda.  Pro-choice movement should used her  stupid stand on their campaign.  Lets see if she can get out of that one.  If Obama administration does not hurry up and pass the bill, this right wing assholes are going to eat him alive.  He needs to fight them hard.

It's an Option!

I am amazed at the mendacity of these right wingnuts - and their willingness to distort facts / skew the debate in favor of private health corporations. Even the most adventurous version of the various health reform bills in Congress only allow for a government run option - which does not require anybody to participate if they do not want to. If they want to stay with their current provider and get ripped off big time they are soooo free to do so.
