Blend-o-licious endorsements...

The Christian Civic League of Maine's Mike Hein calls Pam's House Blend:
"a leading source of radical homosexual propaganda, anti-Christian bigotry, and radical transgender advocacy."

He is "praying that Pam Spaulding will "turn away from her wicked and sinful promotion of homosexual behavior." (CCLM's web site, 10/15/07)

Ex-gay "Christian" activist James Hartline on Pam:
"I have been mocked over and over again by ungodly and unprincipled anti-christian lesbians."
(from "Six Years In Sodom: From The Journal Of James Hartline," 9/4/2006, written from the "homosexual stronghold" of Hillcrest in San Diego).

"Pam is a 'twisted lesbian sister' and an 'embittered lesbian' of the 'self-imposed gutteral experiences of the gay ghetto.'" -- 9/5/2008

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality heartily endorses the Blend, calling Pam:

A "vicious anti-Christian lesbian activist."
(Concerned Women for America's radio show [9:15], 1/25/07)

"A nutty lesbian blogger."
(MassResistance radio show [16:25], 2/3/07)

Pam's House Blend always seems to find these sick f*cks. The area of the country she is in? The home state of her wife? I know, they are everywhere. Pam just does such a great job of bringing them out into the light.

A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand

by: Lurleen

Thu Jun 04, 2009 at 08:00:00 AM EDT

The house of cards is in slo-mo freefall.

Protect Marriage Washington is the official ballot committee set up to receive pro-Referendum 71 funds and to be the "voice" of the anti-domestic partnership referendum effort.  Larry Stickney is its campaign manager and Gary Randall is on its board.  Its web site was presumably to be the hub of referendum activity, and its donation page allows you to donate directly to the Protect Marriage Washington PAC.

But today Gary Randall unveiled his own Referendum 71 web page under the banner of the Faith and Freedom Political Action Committee.  It's donation button doesn't take you to the official Protect Marriage Washington fund, but to Gary's Faith & Freedom PAC, which we already know is not dedicated to the referendum.  Nowhere on this page is there a link to anything related to Protect Marriage Washington.  Gary's been quietly playing the fundraising shell game all along, but to set up a whole separate Ref 71 website now, when the petitions are at the printer, seems like a blatant slap in the face to campaign "manager" Larry Stickney and the umbrella organization they're both supposed to be dedicated to.

So what's going on here?  Are Gary Randall and Larry Stickney dividing the spoils, or is this a mutual greedy grab by brats who can't share?  One thing is clear, Gary Randall and Larry Stickney are not cooperating on the referendum effort.  And as Abraham Lincoln so sagely said, a house divided against itself cannot stand.

I certainly hope that it cannot stand
This only provides evidence of my theory that the whole referendum is a fund raising scam.

that's what i'm thinking too.

DUH
I wonder if they realize how pathetic and stupid they look.  Good investigative work Lurleen.

If this is the case
Then both of these cheats need to be reported to not only the FTC, but the Washington Secretary of State to face prosecution.

Listen to "TransTalk" every Thursday at 4-5pm ET on http://www.falconradio.org

They're no different...
than any lying televangelists.  You know, the kind Marjoe Gortner exposed back in the early 70's.  It's unabashedly about the money, and it's not like they have to answer to any of their donors as long as they just tell them they hate gay people.

W.A.F.S.T.
Shouldn't that say "W.A.S.P.?

Washington "Families" Standing Together -- perhaps...but where are they standing?  Out on the fringe, I would gather.

WFST.org is our organization.
I guess I need to make that clear up above, that the pro-equality organization fighting Ref 71 is Washington Families Standing Together.  I'm not in the habit of putting up giant clickable graphics for the opposition. ;)

lurleen...
Are you the only person reporting on this. Are there any newspapers interested. If you wait a month to get them to dig themselves in deeper, and then expose the whole scam, that could be very valuable.

The Stranger is covering it
The Seattle weekly paper The Stranger has been doing a fantastic job of covering these guys, and as professional journalists have been able to uncover more information than I ever could.  But as far as I know, none of the dailies have joined in.  My (completely unfounded) suspicion is that even if they are interested in "going there", they are waiting to see if the referendum qualifies for the ballot.  Keeping their powder dry, as they say.  But to their credit every single daily that has expressed an editorial opinion on domestic partnerships, marriage or referendum 71 has unequivocally come down on the side of fairness and equality.  That is astounding and itself newsworthy (which is why I wrote about it here :)

Petitions are out...
Guess they got them printed somehow.

ERW just sent out the alert.
